Hey Rick.. sorry for the long reply. On vacation for Memorial Day. Yes sharing cars is allowed. Make sure you and your friend register in Novice either online or at the registration trailer.

Usually its fairly easy to follow the track. I would suggest to get with a person who is a regular TAC/TVR member and allow them to tell/walk you around a course. I'd be happy to help you and your friend out. Usually the course is open for walking from 8:30am to 9:45am and its best to walk the course as many times as you can to get in into memory. Mark Strong, our novice instructor, also does a novice walkthrough before the driver's meeting as well so you get multiple opportunities to walk. Also I suggest you to ask for a ride along with someone to get a feel for the course at driving speed. If we get put into the same run group on or you are just visiting.. feel free to request a ride with me in the white Mazdaspeed3. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.

I very recently joined the SCCA. I missed the TVR driving school, and by the time I found a school in Louisville, KY, it was filled up. I would still like to try an autocross. Is it fairly easy to follow the correct track? I have never attended an autocross event, but what I see on Youtube makes me think it would be very easy to make a wrong turn (for an old guy like me, anyway).
My MG Midget may not be ready to race by June 2nd. I have a friend who is also interested, and will drive her Mini. Is sharing cars allowed? Otherwise I would have to drive a Cadillac STS with a 6 cylinder engine. That would be big and slow.
Thanks for reading my rookie questions.
