Not to mention the whole production of batteries for EVs and Hybrids is a filthy filthy process. EVs and hybrids are one of the worst ideas as an alternative to internal combustion engines.

Production of any product in any developing nation is harmful to the environment. Look at the sky in this picture. This was the pollution from just making bricks in India:

The chemical plants were far worse.

It's interesting that on my most recent trip to India, there wasn't a single electric vehicle on the road. Everything was running either compressed natural gas, diesel, or regular gas. Hybrid? What's that? Efficiency is the name of the game.

The first-world is leveraging the third-world for cheap pricing, but at some point, it's all going to catch up, and the money will be spread out equal again. Then who's first-world and third-world? The world may not even know...
