Fast Five Movie Premiere--MOVED TO REGENCY 12 IN FLORENCE

MOVED AND SCALED DOWN DUE TO STATE OF EMERGENCY:

Very limited in scope compared to the original, but the main goodies--the Corvette as well as the SUV will be there. Time is the same for Friday. Still working on Saturday. See you if you can make it!



Huntsville Car Scene.com, Rave Motion Pictures, Bar 109, Pama Agency, Easy Money Pawn Shop, and Baymont Inn and Suites present the opening weekend of Fast Five!

If you remember our Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift movie premiere event at Rave, you won't want to miss this event for Fast Five!

Come check out what it was like to be on the film set. We'll be re-creating the atmosphere of the Atlanta set using the cars and people that were there.
  • Meet Mona, who was there on set and is featured at 0:03 in the white dress in this trailer that is currently airing nationwide. As well as my cousin PJ (ONE35i) whose car was on set, and Jason who owns the Corvette used in the movie and worked closely with the Fast Five crew and cast.
  • See the silver Corvette actually used in the movie as well as the SUV actually driven by Dewayne "The Rock" Johnson. We'll also have other replicas of the cars used in this particular scene.

  • Pama Agency will providing talent to make the scene feel true and authentic to the one in the movie.
  • Huntsville Car Scene staff and members will be hanging out and taking pictures with the vehicles as well as shooting some scenes from the Fast and Furious series with the cast on hand.
  • Rave Valley Bend 18 will be premiering their new IMAX screen with Fast Five in IMAX 3D.
And the excitement won't stop at the theater:
  • Come to Bar 109 downtown after the movie for a Fast and Furious afterparty like you've never seen! And a Huntsville Car Scene.com passout slip gets you in for free, so be sure to get one!
  • Matt Play from Chicago will be spinning the big city sounds of electro progressive house! You'll get to hear Matt's latest remix for 'Vulnerable' that got the worldwide attention of Paul Oakenfold's Planet Perfecto Radio Show Vol. 22 earlier this month.
  • The Queen of Electro and Certified Gold in Austrailia International Recording Artist A Girl and A Gun leads the party on Saturday night along with Matt Play and resident DJ DannyC!
  • We'll have the star cars from Fast Five right out front so you can take some great pictures with them while you're all dressed up.
This will be one of the biggest and best Fast Five movie premiere events in the country outside of Hollywood. So come hang out, bring your camera and friends, and see the movie in stunning IMAX only at the Rave Valley Bend 18.

I had a great experience working as an extra in Fast & Furious 5 shooting in Atlanta...I was on the set along with my black '09 BMW 135i.

Looking forward to re-living the experience in Huntsville Apr.28-30, feel free to ask me any questions!

You need to check your facts on this. My bookings sheet shows this movie to be in
Imax and scope, no 3D

That is correct, it's not in 3D. The IMAX installation is IMAX 3D. The schedule for showings isn't published as they won't be setting up the show times for until this Wednesday.

I found a lineup of the 3d shows and Fast Five wasn't on it. However, Pirates of the Carribean was! It's all good though, I've heard some of the 3D shows can make you sick or dizzy because your not used to it. I have no idea if this is true but I won't be taking that chance on Fast Five anyway.

Samir, I apologize, you were correct. I did not know Imax was considered 3D. I talked to one our employees who worked at an Imax theatre in Florida and she explained the difference to be. Having never been to an Imax theatre before I should have kept my mouth shut. Just tired of hearing all the talk of the Rave and the Monaco. Gets old when you work at a competing theatre.

I completely understand the frustration. I had no idea you worked at a theater! Which one? Because I'm always open to working with anyone that works with us best. And Cars 2 and Transformers 3 are coming out this year.

IMAX isn't always 3D, and there's a bunch of variants. The one that's being installed everywhere is the 3D version, since it is fully digital. But the drawback is the resolution, which is down considerably from the original film format like what the Space and Rocket Center has.
