It's totally your call, i might consider waiting just so we can get things rolling closer to 5 (i should be there right around 5). If you do decide to go ahead an park just leave the front corner open please.

I'm getting off at 4 then going to get gas then to the house to pick up the lotus and give it a quick once over with the detail spray then i'll be headed that way so should be there around 5 as well give or take a few min

Signs are in place, but if you park there you will be in charge of making sure non-enthusiasts don't park in the grass.

Have you checked the ground clearance from the drop off to the grass? Will the car be able to get back on the ramp from the grass? I forgot to check these things.

One thing that I saw that may be a bit of an issue is that a crew is welding for the construction of the new building beside Sweet Cici's. They have blocked off the parking in front of that new building as well as the traffic flow from the gravel exit road as well as the normal 'loop' around the field. They started at 6:30am, so they should be gone by 7:30p, but I'm not sure if the parking will still be blocked. I know the gravel road will be clear. They were hoping to be done by 3pm, so I'm headed out there now.

Seems like everyone had a good time. I heard a lot of comments of 'this is even better than the old DQ'.

The only thing that I heard that was an issue was the service at Mellow Mushroom. I spoke with the manager and he said he underestimated how much business they'd get so they were understaffed. But that will be corrected by next month for the 4th of July.

Sweet Cici's also loved having us and the new owners are really great people, so definitely stop in and check them out--especially with the sun beating down on us the way it was before it set behind the buildings.

We should be able to see Bridge Street's fireworks next month, depending on the topography and how high up they fire the fireworks. But Providence mentioned they may also do something special just for us so we don't miss the show.

They have to check on a bunch of details, but it's great that they're considering us.

One thing I didn't like when I inspected the grass before I left at almost 11pm, is that I found some traces of garbage in the back lot. Please, please, please remember that we are guests here and we are expected to pick up after ourselves.

Oh, I forgot to add that this is an event that you will need to get to early. At 4:45 today there were 5 cars. By 5:30, the outer parking was full. By 6:15, the inner parking was over 50% full.

Samir. I think something we should look into for next month is a few trash cans. I went over to sweet cici's and got a drink and after finishing it i was like crap where am i suppose to put this. I'm sure we'll figure something out. Let me know if I need to run by after work and pick up.

Agreed, I was standing there talking with F Enzo and his wife at the end of the evening as we were about to leave and and he had a few cups in his hands and no place to throw them away. They walked over to brick house to use their trash cans.

I will probably be in town for this event in July and I am excited to hear about the firework developments!

I also agree with the trash thing and I think that will help tremendously.

It is so good to see this event maturing and you guys have done a great job with it! I will try to help promote it in any way I can

Good points. I had no idea the trash cans were that far away. I'll bring this up with Providence and see what they can do for us.

I got a reply on the trash cans and they've got some additional ones on order and will move the existing ones closer for the time being to help with the distance.

No way I am missing this round. July 4th should pull a great crowd I would think. A lot of people are off work (me included! woohoo!) so hopefully they can get the cars ready and head out.

If anyone is going early, for whatever reason, I can meet and help set up or anything if it is needed.
