Pretty sure the R33 is still illegal, ray. I think it should become legal within the next few years, though.

It's gotta be over 25 yrs old i believe. The r33 should be getting close if not past that mark by now.

But from what I read the 1996 R33 was crash tested and is therefore able to be legally imported here. The others are not because they were not crash tested and it hasn't gone past the 25 year mark.

I was half way joking, but yes...the 33's are legal because of the crash testing done. At least that is what I remember reading. Does that mean they won't take it...probably not...they can do and will do whatever they feel is able to be done. None of us have the cash it takes to all out fight that kind of stuff......I don't think.

That's a rare beauty! I was wondering why you were all the way over there, haha.

This was rjmathewson's GTR. It sounded a little louder when he went by, so when he came back I stopped and chatted with him a bit, and got his name wrong. Sorry!! I'm terrible with names.

Anyways, he just returned from Z1 Motorsports and just did up/down and a y-pipe. Even with the stock exhaust it sounds awesome. It's also a lot more kick in the pants--he's putting down 571awhp if I remember correctly. Z1 told him he needs to upgrade injectors as they're the limiting factor now. What an awesome car, and an awesome owner. He got on it when he left and it sounded quite nice.

Is it an auto? I looked at a GTS a long time ago that motorex had online. It would have been awesome to have it--I should have done it.

It's manual. I believe this one will be for sale in the near future. Has a veilside body kit as well but it probably will be sold separately.

I'm pissed about that event. I looked it up and found out they don't do it every weekend when I am actually staying in Franklin this weekend! Why don't they coordinate it with me when I will be up there?!

But I might be tempted to drive up there with you not this weekend but next (July 7) if you want!
