I think I knew about it, but it was limited to Corvettes. This is an annual charity event.

What date was it on? If it wasn't on the calendar, it wasn't on here for sure.

they do it every year...4th of july one year, memorial day this year...not sure how they swing it but I have seen a handful of non-vettes make it in...I'm thinking late entries..have spots for say 200 cars and with a week or 2 left there might be a dozen or so openings...there was one complete group (15 cars) a couple years ago...mixture of Camaros, GTO, a couple Chargers and Mustangs...all new gen stuff.

I took the Z06 for two five-lap sessions around the track. There were 270 mostly all Corvettes attending that day. They allow 15 Corvettes on the track for each five-lap session...no passing and the pace vehicle tries to keep the speeds down. However, most folks fall back and then turn it loose. I was able to hit 110 mph but had to slow down because I was the third car behind the pace vehicle. Some of the vehicles behind me hit speeds of 150 mph. Anyway, it was awesome and the bank turns are unbelievable...lots of fun...I will do it again next year.
