Damn. I can't wait to see/hear it!

Just curious, why did you choose the supercharger over twin turbos? I see a lot of TT C6's across the internet, but not too many SC'd ones.

I see A LOT more sc vs turbo cars on corvette forum. I think the main reason a lot of guys go with them is because of the cost. I know there was a full bolt ons, cammed and stock ported heads ls3 car with a procharger and 3600 yank stall running 9.5's in a 1/4 and still getting 27 mpg.

TT cars can be just as drive-able if they're built that way. I was just curious as to why he chose SC over TT. That's all.

I used to do that a lot when I just had my Altima. I still do it whenever I'm under one of my cars, lol.

Amazing work. I can't wait to see you out with it again. No one will know how much you've done right in that car by just looking at it.

Well to be completely honest, I have driven turbo cars and I don't like the throttle response. I also chose a twin screw over centrifugal because I wanted to be different. plus i figured if Lingenfelter trust Magnuson for their supercharged builds then it has to be a quality product.....
I actually was going to go with the e-force kit to begin with until I called their technical support and asked a few questions....then called Magnuson and their service department actually sent me all the information I wanted and called me back several times without me having to bug them.
Not knocking the twin turbo kits or people running them but I find that they have more bugs and issues with install, or are more temperamental. I for one didn't want a 1000 plus horse power car if i don't trust it to drive to California and back. I am building this car for reliability and brute strength. thus why I have researched every weak link in the car and strengthened them.

started putting the charger on today

yeah I cant wait to show it to you man. and you're right most will just think it is a corvette. but like i said above I did all that to ease my own mind so I know for a fact that it is built well.

I've done the drive there and back a couple of times. You don't want to rush it or you'll need a vacation from it, lol. But leisurely, it's simply awesome, especially exploring route 66.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Anything that's worth it takes time to build once you know what needs to be done--just look at this web site. Remember what it was like when everything started out? I'm still researching and looking for the right parts for it...

If I post my pictures from when I spent 3 weeks on the road exploring it, you'll be hooked. Lucky for you I don't have time to post them, lol.

It's still a work in progress too! There's 40% that I haven't even done yet.

cost really wasn't my deciding reason on the magnuson. I work with twin screw ammonia compressors and twin screw industrial air compressors. I guess you could say I am just more familiar with a twin screw over a centrifugal compressor.
I for one also like the fact that the twin screw doesnt have 1100-1800 degree exhaust heat soaking into the bearings and bushings as you do with turbos. I know they are built and designed to withstand it but I just have seen first hand how heat can break down bearings and bushings.
not trying to get into a debate just letting you know why i personally chose a twin screw.

I love my Mini's super charger. For a little 1.6 motor the power comes on really good at 2000 RPM's. After 7 years I still love the super charged version and don't regret waiting for this engine to be released in America. Being an dorky engineer, I was always worried about heat and longevity. The super charger was the right choice for me. I was done with turbos in 1985. Back then they were very unreliable. But my uncles roots type super charger was dead reliable. So I had to have one.
