Exotics Cruise--CANCELLED

I'd probably move it to the next weekend due to the Nashville cars and coffee meet that many were planning on going to..

This has already been planned since last week, but I only got a chance now to post it.

All good. I'm sure we'll have another one. My friend feels like we can make this a monthly thing.

Pretty crazy that you have to choose between two different exotics events. Who would have imagined this in our area?

I know right. We talked about it last time. Also if you were looking for a good route the one we discussed was to take highway 65 up to huntland and come back on winchester rd. It's a awesome drive and can be done in about 2 hours or maybe less.

I'm not a fan of 65 for a couple of reasons. One is that it's not a road for the inexperienced. It has several curves that unless you've driven it before will bite you hard. Second is that on the weekend it is frequented by sportbikers that know and don't know this fact. Even if you're in your own lane, you can be faced with a head-on situation with a bike.

I was thinking something like 4 Mile Post and then Governors to the scenic overlook to allow everyone to group back up/meet late arrivals. I like segments of Dug Hill as well as the back way to the Moontown Airport too. Just gotta work on it.

Understandable. That just used to be my sunday drive when I was in high school so i can pretty much draw you a map of that road........i'm the same way with monte sano to though....lol.

Yeah, last month it got hot quick from 9 oclock (when everyone started rolling in) on so most of the exotics left by 10:30. If it could be arranged it would still put people back here around the lunch hour. If it's too late for this one I'd recommend we see if people would be up for it for a future one.

I thought of this too, but the idea is to have a little bit of fun here, grab lunch before the heat sets in, and then go home and put away the toys. The 3-4hrs of driving time to Nashville is what takes that off the menu.

Good to know. That's probably why my friend moved it up from 9am to 8am. A Nashville excursion might be feasible depending on everyone's availability. I know 8am will be a bit early for me and some of the others, hence a meet up point.

Well, the weather was looking quite iffy this weekend, so this has been canceled. It will be rescheduled, so keep an eye on this thread.

Not yet. I'll try to touch base with my friend this upcoming week. Depending on his plans, it might still be this month. But otherwise next month for sure.
