I have used Redline on numerous vehicles and I am planning on switching the DSM over to a Redline oil.

I used Redline ATF exclusively in the Altima tranny and it felt bulletproof even after a lot of torque braked launches and spirited autocrossing.

Redline does have a solid product, as far as them and Subaru's go, I wouldn't use the trans fluid, or if I did, I would do a mixture with Motul or the OEM and Redline's Heavy Duty Shockproof.

Yep. Different cars, different fluids. I've heard Royal Purple is great for the Subie trans. What's your opinion?

Subaru Extra-S OEM 75w90 fluid for the trans. Now for for the motor oil, anything but Mobil1and you are good to go. The cocktail mix is for the WRX 5 speeds, because they are weak. Here is some good information.

Crazy! I can't believe someone figured out a cocktail that works.

Correct. Thank you for the link. I know you have some unfortunate experiences with the WRX 5 speed transmissions. As far as the STI, I like the Motul 300 75-90. I have used it on a couple of cars and they appear to like it. On Evo/DSM, that is where I typically stick with the RedLine fluid. The transfer case typically get DiaQueen on the Evo where as I will use Heavy Duty Shockproof on the DSM transfer case.
