The only problem I see is that it's on a Saturday and competes directly with every other cruise-in that's on a Saturday. Granted, it's oriented towards the tuner crowd, which the others do not do, but the others are well established and have some strong backing.

That said, nonetheless I think there is some real potential here for a cruise-in on Sunday in the early afternoon. Most churches and other places get out around noon, and then people usually go out to eat. Having one around 2-3p on Sunday would be ideal and attract a lot of attention.

It will be very important to talk with the manager of this Sonic. In fact, see if you can talk to the regional manager. Sonics and car seem to go hand-in-hand. And the ones here in Huntsville and Madison gain greatly from a bunch of car guys coming to hang out, attract attention, and buy something to eat. A discount is definitely in order once the show really picks up. That encourages even more people to come out.

For promotion, flyers at every car show, and a listing on the calendar of events here will go a long way. Once the word is out, it is then just up to people to come or not come. Trophies and door prizes donated by local businesses would help support the event just like they do in Gurley.

I Totally Agree With A Mid Sunday Cruis'in. There Is Absolutely Nothing To Do On Sunday. Except Stay At My House And Play Ps2 Or Go To The Grocery Store. Lol. I Think It Would Prosper Greatly, And I Would Definetly Attend A Show On A Sunday.

Shoot, I thought you were having some free food ready for me. You know how much the Canon 20d and a 28-300mm lens costs?

No, you can have ice cream. But you have to pay for it. Besides, I don't even know my weekend schedule yet. It seems like I may get a bit of a break this weekend. If so, I'm going to use it to catch up on some site back work.
