Waterless Carwash!

So I have been using a lot of products from a company called Croftgate USA ( http://www.croftgateusa.com/ ) and I must say that I couldn't be happier. I have used the Aquanil X, Tire Shine, Multi-Clean (which is awesome when you have kids and cloth seats like myself), and the Wash and Wax! All of these products have been awesome. My car hasn't seen a water hose in about 4 months and my paint is slick and smooth as ever, if not a little better than it used to be. No water spots to worry about. The Wash and Wax is pretty awesome. You just use a cap full to about 32 oz of water in a shallow bucket. Place a microfiber rag in solution and squeeze out excess. Wipe panel by panel and go behind every panel wiped with a dry microfiber rag and buff to a shine. It cleans and waxes at the same time. The Aquanil X is an amazing product for those of you who show your vehichles or if you are like me and constantly busy, but don't have the time to do a full wash and wax every and can't stand driving a dirty car. It can be applied in direct sunlight, easy to use, and leaves a great shine and protection. The Multi-Clean is so nice for me. I have 3 kids under the age of 7 and they constantly have random spills of things in my backseat, even though I don't allow eating and drinking in my car.lol The multi-clean just sprays on, and as weird as it sounds, you just use your finger and lightly go over the affected area and before your eyes the stain goes away. Just us a rag to soak any excess moisture up and you are good to go! The Tire Shine is a great product for those who love the shiney or natural look. It can be applied lightly to give a nice natural shine, or heavily to give a high gloss look. Best thing is that the Tire shine is also a wheel polish for chrome/alloy/billet wheels as well! My 22s shine like crazy and look great after I buff them with some Tire Shine and a Microfiber rag. I have always had huge issues with tire shine and wheels, caus I hate the oily appearance most shines leave on my rim after spraying the tires and end up having to sit there for another 30 minutes and wash my wheels again afterwards. But with the Croftgate USA Tire Shine I look forward to shinning the tires now.lol I know this sounds like I am advertising for Croftgate, but I just can't tell you how much I love all these products.

I know there are other companies who make waterless washes and detailing spray, but if you guys are looking for a great product you should check out Croftgates lineup.

Wouldn't waterless mean you should have to use the water you mentioned? I've never been optimistic about these products because you simply rub around dirt and grime causing scratches where a light pressure wash would just wash them away.

I don't doubt it works for it's purpose...but he is just grinding dirt particles into the paint when he wipes it all off. You can ever hear it...

I hope TruFacts and In Depth see this thread. I'd like to have their professional opinion on a product like this. I'm sure they know a lot more about the advantages/disadvantages than anyone else.

This is another product that has high reviews. I think the key here is that these are for times between details where you know you are going to get light correction done at some point. Maybe I am wrong, but I just can't see this type of product not allowing scratches.

I'm here. My head is still spinning. I would NEVER do that to a car. What did the car do to deserve that? Put some halogens on that hood and look at the scratches.

If done properly done you can use a waterless wash type product. Adam's offers a Waterless Wash which works great for touch up at a car show or for a garage queen. I would not use on a car as they did in the video.

When I was in Colorado a couple of weeks ago helping Adam's do a Goodguy's show, I was lucky enough to show the owners how to properly waterless wash this.

This reminds me of the 'quick detailer' type of products that can work well if there is plenty of wax/protectant left on the surface. Then you're just wearing this away and not touching the paint.

Thanks. I'll eventually figure out how to do it. The 5 minute edit time frame ran out on me.

For the record I am not condoning the action in that video, nor have I done such.lol I was simply posting that, cause of Grants question about the muddy car. My car is babied. It never gets anywhere near that dirty! I simply love the ease of use with the Croftgate products. I am sure there are other manufacturers that make similar products, but Croftgate is the only I have used.

I think once you get to a certain level of products it comes down to preference. I don't understand why the guys in the video thought they had to put muddy water on the car to demonstrate their product.

In the beginning of the video he says he has gotten hundreds of emails and twitters and fb questions regarding what the product can do with a visibly dirty vehicle or muddy vehicle. That's the reasoning behind the dirt concoction.lol

Gotcha. I must've missed that in the beginning.
