Where to find older truck parts?
This has always been a problem with us, and others, when restoring rides from the 50s, 60s & 70s. Is there any local parts store that actually carries and has on hand parts for a 1961 Ford F-100? Specificly, front brake cylinders. This is the only part needed to get this ride on the road today. Thanks, Marsha

I had some luck
Believe it or not O'Reilly's was able to find the
master cylinder I needed for my 50 Chevy Rat rod. Not in stock, but they had it in 2 days- at a reasonable price. Turns out is was off a 80's Chrysler, but that's a different story. It wouldn't hurt to check with them, the lookup charts went way back on brake parts. |

NAPA in Hartselle is good to us. Again has to be ordered and here the next business day. But would sure like to have a place that carries what we need on those Saturdays when we are trying to get the ride on the road NOW!!! Oh, well. Thanks, Marsha

discount auto part in priceville.ask for keith.most places aren't going to carry parts that old due lack of demand.but on fords some of those carry same parts for years
