OMG I think i am in love!

I don't have any build thread or anything on this truck yet, but it started out as a brand new Suburban! You can do the math on what all went into this build from just that little bit of info! Ekstensive is so badarse!

It's amazing how much real cars resemble what the toy cars are like today. I always peruse the Hot Wheels cars when I'm at walmart, looking at the ideas that those designers are coming up with and how they reflect the current trends and ideas out there. And a lot of them reflect real current trends such as bigger wheels, red stripes around the wheels, etc.

Then there's the other side of that when you see a design that could probably be made, but hasn't yet. I can almost swear I've seen this truck in the toy aisle before. Sick work in making it reality.

I'm glad this thread came up again. I saw this truck's twin at SEMA in a different color.

Hmmm...I'll have to post the picture of the one I saw once I get to processing everything. I swear it had a different color, but it might have been the same. I remembered the wheels and the way it sat were identical, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same one.

Its been bugging me since I orginally saw this, about why they used a Suburban instead of a Tahoe since the Tahoe is shorter and then it occured to me, the rear doors on a tahoe go over the rear wheel and the rear window is a lot shorter. I know, I know, probably pretty obvious to everyone else but I felt accomplished when I realized it.

That's not a Tahoe?!? j/k! But I didn't really know the difference until you pointed it out.
