Interesting car. If it was actually black, I would've liked that more.

Meh.

JoTech and AMS have been doing the best GTR's, IMO.

Define 'best'. I think for the purpose of this build, they did a great job.

Best looking, best modded (for high HP and lower HP), etc.

Here's their shop:

If you have some time, go through their customer list.

That's not my definition of the best. The best is when it suits the owner's specs perfectly. I met a GTO owner this weekend that spent some big bucks modifying his car. And the shop didn't put the heads he wanted, they put what they would have put. Not the best work.

I've learned one thing when dealing with service shops--the only customer experience that matters is mine. They can treat someone else like a king for all I care. If I'm not happy, it's not going to be any consolation to know that someone famous or whatever was treated well.

The sales manager at the Porsche dealership where I bought my car in Woodland Hills, CA had an autographed 8x10 of Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio in his office, and their shop was full of 10 Ferraris on lifts. Did that matter to me? Not really.

By 'best' (and what I put above) was meant to be high HP for the owner and low HP for track use (per owner request). I understand that best is different for everyone, but I've followed Jotech for a long time now and their reputation does exceed them. You probably saw their trailer at SEMA (along with a few of their GTR's).

Jotech was one of the first companies to TT a 350z back in 2002/3, too.

Unless you have first-hand experience with both companies, I don't see how you can say one is better than another. First isn't always the best. Go-Bots came out before Transformers--there's no movie about Go-Bots.

Go-Bots was actually a ripoff of an anime called Machine Robo

Sorta like Voltron was actually an anime called Beast King Go Lion with a more adult storyline.

But did Machine Robo have toys?

I was always wondering what Voltron was based on. I've still got a Voltron 5 and Voltron 1 in box somewhere...lol...

Yeah Machine Robo toys were what we saw as GoBots in the US. Same toys. But for GoBots I believe they redrew the cartoon completey for the US.

For Voltron, they did like Macross where they chopped it up and made a kid cartoon called Robotech.

You can actually now buy the original 52 episode GoLion series uncut with slavery, character death, and mayhem that was cut from the US version.

And of course what we know as vehicle Voltron was a completely different anime not even related to Voltron.

Vehicle Voltron was a show called Dairugger.

Oh there was, but it involved these things called books that were made out a substance called paper, lol.

I remember the declaration that paper is dead and that the paperless office is here back in the early 90s. It didn't really work back then, but now that I think about it today with the kindles and pdfs, we're really getting there...

As long as groups like the DEA, FDA etc want hard copies, we won't totally get away from it but I think it's totally possible in the future to go to it.

It didn't occur to me how far we've come until I started thinking about all the paperless stuff that's in my daily life now--pdf statements, electronic sales tax filings, etc. Anywhere there needs to be efficiency, it's paperless.
