it was unheard of to buy a car with a 100k on it
and i remember waiting in line for gas, mom used to pack us kids in the car and we waited.... and waited... and waited..... and then the odd/even plate days for getting fuel too
People still do from what I've seen. Heck my mom is all about mileage, anything over 120k is too much not matter how old it is.

It depends on the car. I wouldn't think twice about buying another Toyota with a 22R/22RE with 200k-300k miles.

I'd love to find a cheap 4x4 22R truck but people seem to think they're gold plated or something.

It's because the 22R is made from a unobtainium metal that can't be found on earth.

They are hard to find. I used to be able to find nice ones that needed a head gasket for 500-750, now days those same trucks go for 1500 if you can even find them.

Wow my 97 eclipse is doing pretty good at around 150k miles compared to some of you guys.

My dad's 2000 Camry has over 400k on it now. it had over 280k before the original spark plugs were ever changed...

It's definitely amazing how modern cars stand up to the test of time. Although some of the newer cars are being designed now for life of 150k or so versus the 200-300k of years past.

1987.5 Voyager - 303k+
93 Altima SE - 30k-something
94 Accord - 225k+
95 Altima SE - esimated 160k+ (odometer broke prior to 100k so I kept track in a spreadsheet)
95 Altima SE - 150k+
96 Galant - 150k+
2000 Corvette - around 46k
2002 E55 AMG - around 23k
2005 Boxster - around 36k

Pics and video of my Accord hitting 200k. I bought it with 160k on it.

I love that car!
