I wouldn't think that it being off a little for a short period of time would hurt it, I mean when you make turns your left and right tires make different length paths anyway. I wouldn't want to run a tire that is crazy out of size, but something close for a few day, I peobably wouldn't worry about.

I never had problems with ANY of the dsms eating drivetrain components I had mismatch tires on one of them for quite sometime.

If evos are this sensitive to that sort of thing I think It would prevent me from buying one. Rather have a swapped mirage.

There will be a difference of 5/32 since a new tire is 10/32 and all the others are 5/32. Tire Rack says 2/32 is the limit. All 4 tires will be 255/40/17's though. Tire Rack is the only people that I know of that shaves tires, and they only do it to tires that you buy through them, which I didn't do this time because of the price.

The local Porsche dealership may do shaving. I know they prepare a lot of track cars.

If you can confirm this, I would appreciate it greatly, or if you know someone on the inside. I still may need the tire shaved just to be safe.

I'd call the Porsche dealership and talk to Randy. He's the service advisor. Jason the general manager might also know if Randy isn't available. Tell everyone Samir says hi.
