Drive-In Friday June 16

Everyone,

The Drive-In featuring the movie "Cars" is still scheduled for tomorrow night. Yet, I am unable to make it for personal reasons as well as Mark Dorner.

Marsha sent some excellent information where the movie opened up. The biggest issue is that this will sell-out early. If you would like to go, I am asking that someone pick this up quickly and propose a meeting place. Marsha has mentioned one below.

Someone may also want to bring up another meeting place. If so, please let me know and I will try to get it out to the group as quickly as possible.

Ralph

Update!!!!!

Patrick and Myself will be meeting at the Hardee's on Governers Drive at 5:00pm. This should give us plenty of time to get down there before they sell out.
Hope to see you all out there.

We got a chance to go to the drive-in Saturday night and saw Cars. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I'm sure we'll be buying the DVD when it comes out.

One thing I noticed was the imbalance of Ford products. No Mustangs, no Torinos, etc. All I could think about was Ford probably didn't give permission to use their cherished copyrighted products. I mean, come on...Lighting McQueen shoulda been a fastback Mustang. But I'm sure Ford knows what they're doing.

I hope you didn't waste your time and watch the 2nd movie. That was bad.

So did the lion ever find his kid? I went to sleep somewhere after the birds found him.

Na, we left immediately after Cars. Our weekend was so hectic, I was dozing at the wheel by the time we were coming down Monte Sano. Ever woke up to see a rock wall in front of you as the road turns left?

I pulled over at the bottom and let Sherry take us on in.

Was that the one with the creatures escaping from the back yard? Madagascar ruled.

No, this is the one about a lion cub escaping from the zoo and his Dad going out into the wild to get him.

Your thinking of Over The Hedge.

Hmm...never heard of that one. It does sound like a rip of Madagascar for sure.

Yep, Over the Hedge seems like it will be fun--if it's not already out.

You know...you're really in tune for a guy without little kids. Get out much?

Nope, just really young at heart. That's why I love cars too--leftover from my Matchbox and Hot Wheels collecting days when I was younger.

I saw cars last night. That was one really good movie. You know, I can't remember the time I sat through and watched the ending credits...on top of that...not only me but everyone else in the theater watched too. They had all the original Route 66 establishments and their owners listed by state, which I thought was a nice addition.
