who is the best at removing tint ?

any place in town really, really good at removing tint ?

the car i got has tint thats too dark and i need it removed.
the back glass has the defrost lines and i dont want these screwed up.


any ideas ?

No way, go to xtreme tint on 72 in madison, they did mine 3 ye3ars ago, no problem since, 99 bucks

Get some ammonia and a spray bottle and do it yourself. I did it for the regal. The ammonia softens the adhesive and it'll peel right off.

I agree with Aminga, that way if you mess it up it wont make you feel that bad.lol or then again if you are like me it will make you feel even worse.

Just don't force it, don't use a razor blade. A plastic razor blade is OK and won't hurt the grids if you can get some. Spray it down good and wait. If necessary make some small cuts parallel to the grid to let it soak in and then start peeling. Once you get it started you can spray ammonia on the peeled places and let it work. Your going to leave some adhesive behind and that's ok you can clean it up later. Work slow and no defroster grids will be harmed.

And do this with the garage door open and windows down for the fumes. An approved NIOSH resprator will help with the ammonia fumes as well.

I can tell you that I had mine done in my prelude by a shop here in town, and they hacked it up. but that was a while back. I wont say the name of the shop on here, but If you email me I will tell you.
