It was huge, and it was the largest I've ever seen. Never has it wrapped all the way to the back of the building. But I think a lot of that was a group of "cool" people not wanting to be around "uncool" vehicles. How high schoolish. I'm glad the larger more established clubs have no problems and no beef.

It's always been a good event, and I think it will get even bigger as time goes on. A lot more people know about it and come to it than in the past.

Glad to see you come out, especially in the new lude. I wish I would've had a chance to spend more time looking at it, but I guess I can examine the pictures a little more.

Pictures will take me a bit to get them up. I still have to upload the ones from bike night. It will probably be late Sunday or Monday at the earliest before I can work on them.

I only buy cameras that use AA batteries, you can always find those when you get in a pinch. My Sony Cyber-shot (DSC-P92) ROCKS!

I've found that the Energizer AA and AAA rechargables from Wal-mart are some of the cheapest and best batteries around. And a lot of battery review web sites confirm that.

Actually, wal-mart is about $2 cheaper than anywhere else. Not sure why, but I think it has to do with that smiley faced dude.

I've been suprised that so little effort was and is put into this cruise-in and it keeps going and growing. Nobody is running it. I think that being one of the few weeknight events is what keeps it going.

Imagine if there were actually give-aways, entertainment, and more room to park.

I think it is because it is one of the only events held IN MADISON. I would love to see more events out that way.

im sure they own the factory in china where they are made.
they charge the factory workers for the electricity the whole factory uses.
this increased wal-mart profits, and you see a dollor or two of this in savbings.

so you save 2 bucks for batteries, and a modern day slave worker pays the balance.

wal-mart is pulling from germany and south korea because these goverments are forcing them to provide workers with insurance and vacation.

i choose not to deal with such an oppressive corporation.

I think that's the key to it. And there's another one coming. The new location for the Huntsville Car Scene Cruise-In will be in Huntsville.

Dude, the batteries are made in Japan, and almost everything we buy here in America is made elsewhere by people in worse living and working conditions. It's not necessarily fair, but it is fair business.

What you don't see is that what we call proverty, people over there can consider affluent. I've seen the other side of the world and third world nations. Globalization proves to be beneficial to both first world and third world nations and spreads some of the wealth to places it's needed.

But we're starting to get off subject. Let's take this debate to email or the next time we talk in person. Definitely a nice topic that we can both maybe learn from.
