JayMack,

Just a helpful hint - went to your club's web page - noticed it was very slow in loading - it is not efficient to have the web browser resize small pics - better to have them small (the correct size) to start with - makes for MUCH faster loading and should be clearer as well if done correctly. For example, you use this large image that is then shrunk down to fit your web page's desired size:

It is 41K in size, plus it has to be shrunk when the page is loaded.

Here is correctly sized button:

that is only 8K and doesn't have to be resized.

I havebeen trying to get everything situated on there. I want it to load a lot faster, especially since we've got so many pictures that are and will be on the site. Its just a trial by error thing, but its not too shabby in my opinion, especially since I built it all over about a 3 or 4 day period.

Well I resized as you suggested, but instead of being more clear, it looks fuzzy...like...a lot. Any suggestions?

Need to use a good paint program like PaintShopPro and use "Smart resize" which will smooth it out, not jagged like a regular resize will. Try using the one I posted and see how it looks (Removing the "size =" parameters in the html for that image).

you can also sharpen the image before resizing it.

or do a step resize (1024, down to 800, then to 600, then to 400, etc.)
if it starts getting blurry, you can do a sharpen in between your resizing.

and plenty of simple image programs will allow resizing and sharpening.
even the free and very easy to use Ivew does wonders.
