Well this show served it's purpose we raised over $1,300 for Toys for Tots and 3 and 3/4 boxes full of toys. We did have some troubles but it is all learnin on the first one and they will be addressed for next years show. We had 80 entries into the show which made for a great turn out. I know Jay thanks everyone and so do I for all there help and support. Next year we will make it even better.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone who showed up to help the kids at the show. We had a great turn out of newer cars, but only a small handful of older cars. We had one older car guy show his "hind side" and leave because he did not want to hang around with the newer car guys. I hope Santa was watching, and leaves him a chunk of coal, or blesses him with a cracked engine block this winter!

First of all, we are very happy that the event went well and you did good for the children. Sorry we missed, but we were in Tupelo this weekend.
I hope this guy left politely. There are several of us ("older ones") that like to attend events, but do not like to stay all day or hang around more than a couple of hours. We are like that. Nothing to do with the event, the hosting club or who is there. We cannot sit still long. But do like to get our special rides out and cruise. Stop in long enough to support the event, say hi to everyone, then say our goodbyes and see you all next weekend. We are not after trophies, awards or door prizes (have plenty of those over the many years of events). The ones like that hope you understand. It is just our way. That is one reason I put on cruise-ins - - for the ones that like to cruise in and out at their convenience. Thanks for your understanding of us "older" cruisers. Marsha |

Yes, I would like to first thank Gunnery Sergeant Williams with the U.S.M.C. and the City of Huntsville for allowing us to put this show on. Next I would like to thank the members of Alabama Custom Car and Truck Club for coming out and for helping put this show on. I would like to thank the sponsors of this show as well...we had a lot and I hope I can remember them all. They are as follows:
HuntsvilleCarScene.com, Service Plus, R&R Graphix, Superior Printing, Zaxby's, Hardees, DirecTV, Advance Auto Parts, Neon Sound Systems, Sound on Wheels, Blockbuster Video, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Worth Exhaust Center, Hooters, Express Oil Change, Cuevas Customs, 256 Airbrush Syndicate, Uniform Corner, 1800RADIATOR Also I would like to thank Russell, Will, and all the members of No Limit Kustoms for bringing their db equipment all the way from Tuscaloosa so that we could have that portion of the show. Last, but not least, I would like to thank all the participants of this show. Without the participants we would not have been able to have raised so much money and so many toys in order to ensure these underprivaledged children a Christmas this year. We raised over $1,300 and almost 4 full boxes of toys. We had 81 registered entries and (an estimated) 500+ spectators. That wasn't bad for a first time show, and we will be having this show again next year! The only problem we had was with the trophies. They were supposed to have the pictures of the vehicle that won the trophy on it, but due to circumstances beyond our control we were unable to do that. I will have a list of winners posted up sometime tonight and hopefully I will be able to get in touch with them to get them their trophy (some people left early).
