I think what we can offer you is right up your alley. I started out as a novice, but thanks to HCS, I have the connections to have a full-flat out photography business doing weddings if I wanted. All of this came from being a HCS photographer. I still get asked to do weddings all the time.

I didn't get a chance to get anything HCS-related stuff done today so far, so I haven't made any calls to anyone. But if you are available sometime over the weekend, we can meet up.

Munchie, I'll also try to get in touch with you over the weekend.

The banners I've made in the other thread were all done using it. I now use it more than PS. Check it out....
This is some good advice. PS is VERY overwhelming when you are just starting out. Start small and then grow as you need to. Once you get into PS, you'll also have to play catchup each time the version number changes. No need to get into that yet if you aren't ready. It's just like any other photography tool--you're not going to get a Hasselblad until you're ready for it--same for any tool.

Sounds good. Only problem is I had to sell my DSLR a little while back to pay for some unexpected engine mods Once I get ahead enough to get another one I'm soooo down! I'll be around this weekend. Steve has my number.

If the number you put on your profile here is correct, I've got your number too.

You don't really need anything fancy. I've actually considered getting that Panasonic just as a backup for the one I already have. The lens on that is still one of the best lenses I've ever seen on a consumer camera. Even dpreview had nothing but good things to say about it:

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-Fz28 that I had bought about 6 months back and now using it since I got the D60. I am trying to sell it now for 200. It is an awesome camera and takes fantastic pictures. I paid right at 4 for it, the carrying case and the Highspeed SD card. If anyone is interested let me know. I am also in the trade/barter addicts of america so if anyone has anything there want to trade for it just let me know.lol All of the pictures from the car show in panama that I posted where taken with this camera, and the ones of my galant and the rose where taken with the D60. So you can see that the picture quality is awesome. All the reviews for this camera are almost the same with all of them giving it right at 5 stars.

Sounds like a pretty good camera for 200. It definitely could do HCS style pictures easy.

I think it is the step up from the camera you posted earlier. I just dont use it because I got the D60 now.

The lens isn't as stellar as on the fz20. The fz28 can only do f4.4 at full zoom, whereas the fz20 could do f2.8 at full zoom.

This would only be important in lower light situations since the fz28 would then have to jump to a higher ISO for a proper exposure. And jumping to a higher ISO usually introduces noise, especially in consumer cameras. The D60 was a great move. You won't outgrow that camera anytime soon.

So you free anytime today or tommorrow to talk?

Good talking to you for a sec Samir. Sorry I couldn't make it out. I spent the day making baseboards and ceiling moldings. YAY!

Anyway, maybe we can do lunch one day this week and talk shop.

It's all good munchie. Whenever you're free. Seems like I'm working on HCS full-time again, at least for the next few weeks.

It's all good. It sounded like you had one heck of a project underway. Anytime you're available, I'm available.
