A hot day greeted attendees out at the old airport. The sound competition had one of the largest turnouts I've ever seen. A good number of people came out from all over in the heat to support the cause.

HDP 7 brought out his beautiful rx-7, Outlaw77lt brought out a classic Camaro and some friends including Zachs Bank. Travis brought out his clean BMW and supported Huntsville Car Scene by purchasing some vinyl clings for his rear windows. Thank you Travis! Kara even stopped by along with mattdtuck as well as a few other friends. And I shot a few different types of pictures until the heat of the day got to me. Enjoy! See everyone next time. -- Samir

Reminder

Please don't forget to come out and help us raise money for St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. St. Judes provides free medical care to children with life threatening illnesses. This could not be possible without donations from caring individuals like yourselves.

Will Walker of Merdianville, AL is one of those children. He is battling leukemia. Please come out and support this great cause. This money will be used to continue to research for cures and treat other children like Will.

I know the users and visitors to this site have a heart. Prove it by joining us on July 31, 2010 @ the Jaycee's Fairground. Together we can help in the fight against childhood diseases. You would be surprised how a little support can make such a big difference in a child's life.

I hope to see you ALL there.

How could anyone not come out to an event that benefits people right here in Huntsville? I'll be there. But I hope you have shade for everyone because from 11am to 5pm will be a long hot day.

Thanks for Your Support

I knew I could count on you. I've ordered a 10 x 20 Soundstream tent to keep some of us out of the direct sunlight. I'll also have my huge fan close by. LOL You are welcome to try and beat the heat and hang out with us under the tent.

For the brave souls that feel up to it... the Life South Blood Mobile will be there taking blood donations. On a more painless note, we will also be screening for possible bone marrow donors. The process itself is really simple and doesn't take long. Just 4 swabs on different locations inside your mouth.

Thanks again for your support.

Remind me to do this. I do have a fairly rare blood type, but I won't be up to donate that. Maybe my marrow might be rare and help someone.

Show Update

I've had several vendors confirm for the show. We should have plenty of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, drinks, snow cones, funnel cakes .... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

We will also have vendors selling t-shirts, hats, artwork and other goods. If anyone wants to be a vendor, we still have spots left.

Do you have an update on how many spaces you need for additional cars?

No problem. I look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know if you've been following Will's story or not, but he has had an excellent check-up at St. Judes this week. His cancer count is down to 0.1% and they are preparing him for his bone marrow transplant. They finally found a donor and the procedure is scheduled for 9/8/10.

Keep praying for Will, and thanks for supporting St. Judes.

Thank you for posting details on the classing. It's great to have this type of detail before the event.

No problem. I just realized that it wasn't on the original. I thought it was because it's on the one on my website. I guess I'm getting too old to remember everything.
