What a way to kick-off the 2010 enthusiast season. A record 165+ registered cars came to this event, and there was about 20 that either rode through or just chilled after the event. The weather definitely pulled almost everyone out of their cabin for a cure for the fever.

And a good dose of the cure there was. There was an awesome display of rods, both rat and hot, to classics, streetrods, and even tuners and minitrucks. There was something for everyone. And the staff of the event were organized and ready. There's not too many events that I know of that can handle a 50% increase in expected people and still stay roughly on schedule. Kudos to a job well done.

It was good to catch up with everyone and learn more about diabetes. It's amazing how many of us have this disease. Maybe we should have a benefit show to help fund a cure or help others locally. Not only would we be helping others, but we would be ultimately helping ourselves too.

On the far side of the parking lot, there was one slammed silver VW that will be gracing the pages of Performance VW magazine in Europe in the next few months. A photo shoot has already been done, so yet another local car let's the rest of the world know how it's done.
