Megan Harmon, a 21 year old college student at UAH and an avid motorcyclist, lost her left leg, just above the knee, in a tragic motorcycle accident in March of ‘09. She has bounced back beautifully, but her insurance has run out and her quality of life would be much improved if she could receive an upgraded knee joint for her prosthetic leg. She has a basic prosthetic, which her insurance provided, but has ambitions to be as athletic as she was prior to the accident and to be able to ride a motorcycle again. Won’t you please help us give this fine young lady a chance at a better life and at the same time spend a day of riding and entertainment with your friends? All money raised will go directly to Megan’s prosthetic provider.

It was a great day to ride, and what better reason to ride than for a fellow rider. A good number of bikes turned out for the ride. It was good to meet Rocketcitymadman and other members of the Heart of Dixie Victory Riders. They put on what seemed like a good event. Ride safe everyone! And I'll see everyone at the next one.
