Back to the show - I can't wait. FINALLY the weather is going to cooperate, and as I understand it, the weather is supposed to be phenominal!

first show total success... cant wait to bring the prelude to it next month

Absolutely it was a total success! Thanks to everyone that came out and participated! We'll be ready for next month with a couple of small changes.

Remember, last night we had 5 vehicles that were to recieve awards but they didn't register, so keep that in mind next time!

I'm uploading event coverage right now and I'll post it as soon as I can!

well hopefully those changes will keep those 5 cars out of the parking lot so you wont have that problem next time lol

not that I would have got a trophy, but I was registered and judges walked by me 3 times and never looked at my car.

Which vehicle was yours? I know I looked at everything that had a registration flyer displayed. It wasn't only me doing the judging though. There was one A&W manager in uniform and another one out of uniform that walked around and judged as well.

I saw the uniformed judge also, I was parked beside 2 unregistered cars and one of the guys even told me that he thought you guys didnt think I was registered because my car never got looked at, he thought that theirs were looked at and no registration so maybe judges figured I wasn't either, but anyway, like I said, I probably wouldn't have got an award anyway, I'm not upset, not the first time I didn't get anything and won't be the last, but I will let my no registered friends know they may need to register from now on.

That may have been the case...at any rate, I apologize and if something like that happens again, please come up to the registration table and let me or one of the girls know so that we can address it! Thanks for letting me know about it so I can make sure the judges are doing what they are supposed to do!

Gold Dart Sport, it may have been judged, but if it was it was from afar, but again, not mad, I'm used to not winning, and I started to say something last night but didn't want anyone to think I was trying to start something.

your never starting anything if you go ask to make sure you car was judged... your starting something if you get mad cause you didnt win best of show and drive a pos lol which has happened before

At this show its all in one. In order to please the masses, we do make sure the awards given are distributed as fair as possible, but like I say, I'm not the only one judging - A&W has their management that looks over everything and does the judging...another way to prevent people from making the assumption that I am being biased towards one over the other.

And yes, David is exactly right. It never starts anything. Ill gladly take constructive criticism from anyone...if I don't get any how do I improve the show? Especially if you feel as if you've been looked over...I don't like missing stuff.

It should be you would think, but then again probably 5 or so of the same cars would always win and that would certainly discourage others from coming or coming back...because we all know how people are. So I can understand not giving trophies to the same cars every month. I think what would be cool would be to have a "winners row" or something where all the winners from the month before could park and be recognized and not in competition with everyone else (maybe that area where we were parked right in front of the door.) I know all 10 cars from the previous month would not be there but a lot would....especially knowing they would be recognized. Then maybe you could let those owners be guest judges and vote on the 10 cars for that month or pick best of show or something. You could even ask those people to RSVP email the week before to plan the parking. That would be a lot better IMO then just overlooking them the next month because they won previously.

Also have you ever thought of doing a participants pick or people's choice style thing to choose the top 10? It would be less work for you, people would have less reason to bitch (at you) and it should be a lot fairer to everybody. Maybe give everybody that registers a voting slip and let them pick their five favorites and then tally up the votes at the end. Sure you have buddies voting for buddies but thats just to be expected...usually you still get fair results that way.
