Open Car Truck and Bike Show

I went to this show last year. Nice turn out but it was a joke. I wont waste my time going back to it. They made a special exception to the registration cut off, hour and a half after cut off they let a truck in that eventually won it all. That to me is not fair and dont want to be a part of a show like that. Just my opinion.

I know they had some organizational issues since it was a first time event for a brand new dealership. This happens to any first time event. I'd go check it out this year and see if you see the same problems or if they've fixed them. It's still great to be a spectator event at badly organized shows.

i saw cost of registration and was like holy sh... but i see its going to a good cause so nevermind that lol

Samir I would normally agree with you, but the show was actually put on by veterans in the show scene. They know what they are doing or atleast you would assume they do. Hopefully it goes better this year. They really should contact Showstopperz to put on their show instead of who they used last year. I know Jay would keep thing fair.

Unless you have a big jacked up truck then you can show up whenever.....Sorry for the sarcasm but it still ticks me off that they bent the rules. I was sitting with a group from Vibe and 3 or 4 of their member were turned away at 12:30.....

who did they use last year?? I thought they put it on themselves??
I usually go to donate to the cause, check out the peeps and vehichles and for the door prize(s).
Now if it's like the show in Decatur last year that also has some sorta cook-off then I'm in there for the trophy..the cook-off trophy. :-)

The weather looks pretty clear right now, although overcast. I think rain will hold off until the afternoon. Once the air starts to cool up high, then the clouds should form pretty quickly. I think we'll be good up to 2pm at least.

Yep, this show had a lot of different organizations stepping up to the plate--Rocket City Mustang Club, Tennessee Valley Mopar Club, Vets with Vettes to mention a few. Landers was hoping for a larger turnout, but considering the weather and what I saw at Point Mallard as a reflection of the economy, the show turned out better than I would have expected.
