Go Wide G35

Quote:
You have probably heard the term GO WIDE or seen the decals. What does that really mean? Slam your car, get some aggressive wheels, and camber it perfectly so its flush? If that’s true, Kris Yu from a local San Francisco tuner shop, Mach III, took GO WIDE to a whole different level. Not only are his wheels ridiculously wide, but so is the car itself. I have been meaning to shoot his car for a good month or so now but with my busy work schedule and the Formula Drift/One of One events, our schedules kept conflicting. I love how a lot of people are always so against airride for their tuners and whatnot that never even see the track, yet you see vehicles like this one, of its caliber running air. I wonder how often he changes out all that suspension for track use though.

Do you think you'd really have to change it out? I mean, my dad's s500 has a factory air suspension system that is nicely adjustable from the cockpit. I'd think an advanced aftermarket version of an air system would probably be on par with the adjustable hydraulic systems.

Air can be made to handle great. I never would believe it either until i read an article in i wanna say chevy high performance (or some other redneck magazine....i can say that I own one...lol). I know that it's a pretty common thing on a lot of older camaro's, nova's, as well as tri five cars that want the look at the performance.

I think detroit speed and engineering has a few kits.

Well I am assuming he changes his out since there are two specific kits listed. One being for street and one for track.

Airride has come a long way since the days from its creation. My kit on the galant has 9 way adjustable struts for agressive or soft street applications. There is a mustang on the d1 or Formula d series drift running a full airride system.

This is a local car that has the best of all worlds. I think the guy who ownes it now won it in a competition giveaway. I have never been a big fan of these cars, but by golly this one is pure sexy.
