Some new pics of the Neon!

So my bumper had a TON of rock chips on it so I had Yager repaint it. While he did that, he filled in the front emblem so that I didn't have a Dodge logo. Instead of the black crosshairs slanting on the bottom, I just went straight down too.

CF hood and FMIC have been added, too.

Nate's pics:

Colby's pics:

Big thanks to Yager for the paint work and Nate and Colby for the pics!

Looks a lot better! It's interesting how Colby's had a different white balance than Nate's.

You know I didn't really notice that as much as the hood because of the angles in the shots. I think something that would be interesting would be to either have a carbon fibre spoiler (factory style) or paint the existing one. Then the side and top profile would look like a stock neon and really fit the 'lolneon' characteristic.

Carbon fiber trunk will happen eventually with a "duck bill" type of wing on it.

I'm sure I've seen one of these before, but I don't know what it is by name. Gotta pic?

Is Colby using Nates old D40? I know Nate got the D700 now and stopped using the T1I. It looks like the two sets of pictures were shot in two separate places with the way the lighting is.lol

That's why I'll set a manual white balance if the camera keeps going back and forth on auto. If you shoot raw, this isn't so much a problem since it can be easily fixed.

Nate still wasn't used to his new camera. His ISO settings were all off.

Nate didn't wanna send me the pics because he knows they aren't good, but I made him send them anyway haha.

Well they are still good pictures, its just the way the two different sets are captured make for a look of two different places.

I shoot everything in manual/raw. I use and Auto White balance most of the time though. I shoot Raw so that I have plenty of room to play with them as far as post processing goes.

Well, the good thing it that it's easy to fix. Even if he wasn't shooting in RAW, it shouldn't take him very long at all to fix them.

Interesting. So how do you know what exposure settings to use? Are you using a meter?

The camera is my meter.lol I play with the settings till I find what I am looking for. I have a generalized setting I go from. Also the D90 gives me the option to save a number of different settings that I like in Manual. I usually pick from those and just fine tune or adjust from there.

Ahhh, lol. Are you using the screen or the histogram? I've found the screen can vary unless everything is calibrated from end-to-end. I'm trying to get to the point I trust just looking at the histogram.

The meter in the middle, number 16 I think, is your exposure meter. Too far left and its gonna come out under exposed, too far right and its over exposed.
I never use live veiw. I always use the veiwfinder. The only time I have ever used live veiw was for movies and you have to use it for that.lol
