A surprising number of bike gathered outside the American Legion Post 15 in the cold winter air. Most everyone was inside getting some coffee and keeping warm until the sun fully broke and friends arrived. The temperature rose quickly as soon as the sun came up, making for a chilly but much more comfortable start to the ride. Before the last bikes left, the post Commander came to see the riders off.

I never knew what the American Legion was until I was able to step inside and see the history of the post dating back to the early part of the 1900s. If you've never been, you should take a few minutes to swing by and see how the American Legion fits into the fabric of our country.
