Talking Top Gear America!!!!!!!!!!!

So after years and years of watching Top Gear on the internet and catching it when it airs here in america we finally get our own version! While it doesn't have Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, it does have a quit well represented equivelent staff in Tanner Foust, Adam Carolla and Eric Sromer. The History Channel is where its at on November 21st for sure.

I heard about this last night when talking with a few friends. I think it's not going to be the same.

The thing that makes that show are the characters. And for some reason every American version of a British show is just watered down. "Who's Line is It Anyways" is a perfect example. I think this will be the same. But we can still catch the British version, so why didn't they just syndicate that?

YES!!! I just hope it doesn't get censored like crazy. Some of the stuff they say and do on that show crack me up, but I'm sure offend someone out there.

I have a DVR and I record all the Top Gear episodes from BBC America.

This, cause I feel the stras of the show are the cars not the people who critique them...

I have a feeling it's going to be lame, much like that Supercar showdown show on speed.

I hope not.

supercar showdown has so much potential, they just need more than 4 events

And to get rid of the scripted rivalry between Tanner and Paul... It gets tiring. The last episodes have been doing better. But their back and forth gets sickening. I don't care who's better than who. Just show me how these cars handle and work!

The show is called Supercar showdown. Not who's bigger show down!

At SEMA, they were marketing the show big time, with a line of exotics made up like taxis that had the show info all over them. I believe they were giving people rides in the cars. I have a picture somewhere in the queue of stuff to be processed.

I've caught that show a couple of times, and I think the drama they try to induce between the drivers is childish. It's like they're trying to get a fight started in high school, lol.

But both are very capable drivers which shows us what these cars can do on the edge of their capability. Now, most of us don't have their driving capability, so it would be nice to see what people with less driving skill can do, especially with the nannys on, etc. Then you have an idea of what the full spectrum of the car's capability is in relation to the driver.

FYI..
Episode 1: 11/21
In episode one there's a battle between two snakes as Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust give the soon to be replaced Dodge Viper SRT a fitting send off by pitting it against a Cobra attack helicopter through the streets of Griffin, Georgia. Adam Ferrara, Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust settle which is the best Lamborghini ever, in a 180 mile an hour desert drag race. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin takes to the Top Gear test track.

Episode 2: 11/28

Tanner races his favorite cut price sports car against two extreme skiers down a mountain. Rutledge finds out if Aston Martin has solved a horsepower problem in the new Vantage model and Adam and Rutledge try to beat professional drift champion Tanner Foust in a drifting competition by cheating. Actor Dominic Monahan takes to the Top Gear test track.
