Just got a text from skibumWRX:

"Madison police have an undercover red Corvette...gold 'Police' letters on the back bumper and 'Madison' letters in blue on the side. No light bar."

Well, this one gets lots. Following too close on the Interstate is one of his favorites. If he is behind you, I do not believe there are any markings you can see from your rear view mirror; you cannot tell it is an officer's vehicle.

Anytime I have a vehicle following too closely, I move over to let them go. If they follow you, that tells you something.

Troopers lately have been pulling any DOT truck over and checking papers and safety inspections. Haven't seen them out in a few days but I'm sure that will start back soon. Also, I've been seeing at least one trooper sitting running radar between huntsville and scottsboro (on the scottsboro half) around 7-9pm. So, watch your speed around that area!

Great reports! Looks like the route to Scottsboro is being monitored pretty closely. Doesn't surprise me as it's the primary Chattnooga-Huntsville link.

I'm so glad I don't have to make that drive anymore. Dad hasn't mention them running radar but he goes in before the rush and leaves ahead of it.

I've noticed Madison has been pretty hot lately. I actually got pulled over in my truck about a week ago for not wearing a seat belt (I was only going about 2 miles up the road so didn't even think about it), luckily his printer was screwed up so he let me off (I still had to sit around for about 15 min. while he tried to fix it).

Madison has been hot lately. I've been stopped at one point because I forgot to put the new sticker on the Accord tag.

Since I work for a court system, we have over 1,000 traffic violations per month. Mainly speed, no proof of insurance and no current tags, among lots of other violations. The state troopers stay busy around here! They appear to always be looking to pull you over for something - anything. And having those unmarked rides or rides that do not appear at first to be an officer's ride can get you. Ask Chip!!! A few years back he sped up to get in front of a line of traffic, and a white Jeep at the front of the line, that turned out to be an officer's ride!

Yeah when I see them it's when I leave around 7:45-8:00am and am coming back around 7:30-7:45pm. One last night had someone pulled over right outside of Scottsboro about 2 miles before the Wildlife refugee, but my ride in this morning was clear.

No it was some Gestapo looking Madison city cop. I'm not a fan of Madison city cops......

For reference if you have no idea what gestapo means: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo
