Thank you Steve! Someone was asking me about this a few minutes ago. I thought it was on the 9th, but I didn't know for sure so I just said sometime in July.

John Hunt Park usually doesn't have as many as Milton Frank, but there should be 50+ easy.

There aren't really good vantage points to watch the action like there is at Milton Frank. But no problem! Grab a helmet and bum a ride around the course! It's not much of a spectator sport.

I forgot it was at John Hunt. I'll be finding something else to do then.

Since this is a TAC event, no. I know SCCA members pay less than non-members at TVR-SCCA events.

Pre registration on line saves $5. Go to TAC website and hit the icon under the event and it takes you to AXEware. Sign up and you only pay when you get to the track. If you don't show no harm no charge. Make sure the event is TAC #4 and not TVR #4. Two events with similar titles are listed.

There's a link to pre-registration right in the event listing above.

No training necessary. Just register, be sure your car doesn't have any loose items in it, and is in proper mechanical condition--all lug nuts, battery tied down, no play in the steering wheel, proper brake pedal feel. And you'll borrow a helmet and drive the course!

Be there early to walk the course, talk to other drivers, and take a few rides. You'll be in the novice class since this is your first time, and you'll find plenty of helpful people like sok07 and Steve. Have fun!

MGB will be there! Noobz can ride...i think I could use the passenger to help balance the car anyhow. There are lots of well seasoned and qualified drivers to give you pointers. Just ask.

Well I'm 250 lbs so I honestly think I would make the balance shift the other direction, especially in a MGB lol. I really want me and the wife to get into this tho. I've been to a few but never actually rode or drove a course. I got the wife on Forza 2 tonight and was like OMG I hope you don't drive like that when we start Auto X lol.

Forza has nothing on the autocross. Most of the fast drivers will be much harder on the cars than in Forza.

yeah I know, I just thought it was funny. She was all over the place and that was on an oval track hitting the cars and the walls lol. Of course I got slapped in the back pretty hard for that one hehehe.
