Well, it looks like a turbo model seems to be imminent if the info is accurate. It's nice that someone has taken the time to look over the details side-by-side, because I can see that over the next few years, swapping parts between the cars to make a version just for you is going to be all the rage.

At a certain point, more power actually messes up the car. It depends on what the goal is. A well-balanced car won't have excessive power that can't be controlled in a detailed fashion.

I wouldn't say omg it needs to have a crapton more power necessarily but, a gearhead is gonna at least do the basic intake/exhaust stuff.

Oh yeah, that I agree. Unless it's pretty close to perfect stock. I mean, my Boxster will lose power with intake and exhaust. Dyno proven, lol.

There are a group of people on the west coast that have been organizing a group buy via some dealership in CA. I think it's been going on for the past month. I do know at least a few others have pre-ordered before then and actually test drove the car. Maybe they just know someone that knows someone though.

A little bird told me some slightly inside information to the local BRZ allotment. From one of the managers over at the Subaru dealer.

Landers McLarty should get 4 BRZs that were sent to them by Subaru. They didn't get a "pick" of the car. No details on date of delivery or final price, but they are coming.

Wilson! dropped me off a pamphlet last night on them. Starting price is right at $25k for the BRZ.

You might be surprised what demand will do to your demands. Regal Nissan wanted $15k down for a GTR sight unseen and undriven. And even if you didn't like it upon arrival--tough, it's yours. That was a pretty big determent from me looking into a GTR seriously when I had the cash.

It's amazing how many diagrams, pictures, and information on this vehicle have already been released. I'd save all those pictures as they'll be really handy come modding time!

That's typical dealership allotment for new cars, so there's going to be a lot of people flying all over to get the one they want and/or dealer trades.
