The End of the Season is Finally Here!

At least in my book. Doesn't seem to be regular events every weekend anymore. And for once, I'm glad. This year has me completely wore out, out-of-shape, and behind on publishing all the photos I've shot.

But all this should change starting this week. I'll be hammering away on gallery after gallery, posting new stuff as I finish it. And because there's no more events to take up my weekends, I'll have another 20hrs a week to work on publishing event coverage.

So for the rest of you out there, what do you plan to do now that the events have stopped?

Work more and work out more (run, bike, and swim). I'm also planning on FINALLY painting the truck around Thanksgiving. I may start working on my CVCC just to give myself something to do this winter while i look for another car.

Coach my daughers Basketball team, finish up the air ride on MYSIXFO, finish a couple projects for folks I have been putting off from lack of payment (if they finish paying me) and find time to redo all my air managment with Accuair components.

Yep, not to mention that stress. Those shots are about as critical as they get. And the slightest equipment failure or wrong setting is a disaster. Too much pressure for me. I've done a few weddings, but I let them know up-front that my gear isn't up to the challenge.

Lol well I know my equipment is well enough up to the challenge, but at an average of 700 to 1000 shots per wedding that's a lot of shuter clicks!

Oh I know it. But the light weekends will definitely seem like a vacation compared to the rest of this year.

I still have two more autoX events before the season officially ends. During the off season, I'll be spending money on mods and tires for next season. Speed3 will undergo a STX class build. We will be racing it in pro class in TAC next year, as well as participate in the local SCCA region and,a few of the SCCA national tour stops.

If money allows I will probably get the head reworked on the mgb. I still plan on racing the mgb at few tac events next season.

Yep, the autocross season is far from over, but my routine of 20hr work days every Saturday and Sunday is done for now.

Now, if I can only get these computers to cooperate so I can go through these photos.

The season is never over!!! Now we have Christmas events for Toys for Tots, etc; then come swap meets, classic car autions, indoor car events & shows. And we will have our Decatur fall & winter Sunday afternoon cruise-ins. We have the new DQ on the Beltline. Going for the 2nd Sundays of December - March (missed this month, was out of state); weather permitting; no freezing, ice or snow! It never stops for us. And always have a project in the shop. Yep, details right here:

That's actually one of the busiest weekends--Porsche Club Pitstop breakfast, CBI Cruise-in and Corvette Autocross.

One more AutoX, and another RallyX till the season ends... then an interesting engine build for the BMW, along with a E36 M3 steering rack conversion, another -2 degrees of camber and another 200lbs to pull out the car. Target weight of 2,200lbs, with 200hp/240ft lbs torque.

Yep, December will be a bit busy. I hope to stay on top of that month. I'm hammering away on the events from the past!
