Evo X Wheels on a CT9A

I have seen a few people in the Evo community taking the OEM Evo X MR wheels and throwing them on the Evo VIII and IX. What does everyone think?

The OEM Evo VIII and IX (CT9A chassis) has a 17" wheel. These X MR BBS wheels bolt right up and are an 18" wheel.

Here is one image:

And here is a close up of them on the Evo X:

I like them a lot. And think they would look awesome in black. Which brought me to these...

They are the Enkei Raijin. And look fairly similar.

I am debating putting one of these two onto the Evo.

Black on your Evo would look awesome.

Lee put his Evo X wheels on his Evo 9 and they look great. I've always been a fan of multi spoked wheels.

I think the Evo X wheels would be great and keep it 'in the family' so to speak. If you can find someone selling their X wheels at a decent price, you'll get a high quality wheel to boot.

Yeah a set of used MR wheels are about $1000 plus shipping. But that is if you can find them in near perfect condition. Which is what I want.

If you can find some in not so perfect condition, wheel fix-it can repair them. Or they may even be able to source them...hmmm...I never thought of that. I'd call them!

Never been a fan of BBS wheels myself.

I prefer the Evo VIII 6 spoke enkeis myself. Either that or a set of Enkei RPF-1.

Opened the link, and those do look pretty nice. Probably the first set of BBS wheels I can honestly say look good.

Last time I saw him, Lee was running the stock Evo 10 wheels on his Evo 9, and have a set of Ray's on the 10. I really liked the way they looked on his 9. I actually preffer the Evo 9 wheels to the 8's, but to each his own I guess.
