I just hope this doesn't replace the current "up to 10% ethanol" at most pumps. Ethanol has adverse effects on gas mileage, and your fuel delivery system. It eats away at seals and fuel lines that are not designed for it.

Plus it requires more ethanol to be delivered to make the same power, you need a way to tune for this, a stock vehicle with stock injectors assumes that it is delivering gas with a certain minimum octane. Performance vehicles are gonna be running into issues with out a way to tune.

Bummer.

I agree with you Tanro and I hope they don't bump it up to 'up to 15%'. The Porsche and Accord definitely don't like this blended fuel. I'd rather pay more and get the right fuel for my vehicle.

even my truck dislikes it, my fuel economy is bad enough.

I'm barely making 300 miles to a tank right now...

What pisses me off is they throw E15 out there right? And they charge the same amount if not more for the reasons that "Oil prices" are going up. Biggest crock of gas I've ever heard.

Someone so much as sneezes in the middle east and they hike our prices despite us having E10 or E15... why not just give us E0 and charge us these outrageous prices?

I'm gonna need to get me a diesel and run SVO. (straight vegetable oil) Hell we all should... if you don't wanna mess with SVO, BioDiesel costs about $1.50 a gallon to brew in your back yard...

Screw it, it's time for a scooter. At least if it eats through the seals on that, it'll only be about $1.50 in parts haha.

It's what the rest of the world has done. We're the only ones dreaming about hybrids and electric cars.

I wish I could come up with the cash and that Audi would hurry up and shove that V12 TDI R8 out already.

Then I have the best of both worlds... supercar power... and economic diesel...

I don't think supercar and economical will ever truly co-exist in one car. Efficient and supercar, yes, but never economical.

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere the R8 TDI makes 23MPG while still maintaining the performance status quo of 186MPH easily.

That's economical in my book... coming from a Jeep 4cyl that made 100miles to a tank.

But it's not the industry definition of economical.
