Pictures from Fast and the Furious 3?

Yep, there's a third one coming out. And there's actually a local bike created by a local shop that will be in the movie. Check out their pictures from their trip out there:

But have you seen the title? "The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift." If you ave a 240sx, Silvia, ae86 or any other cheap rwd drift-capable car, you might want to hang on to it. Supply and demand might send the price of some cars sky high.

4 replies 229 hits . seems obvious there is a ton of interest in todays youthful car scene. we need to find a way to get youngens more involved in the site. perhaps some one start another name the car thread with nuthin older than 1990 or so stuff , that would be just as foreign to me as old stuff is to kids today

Can't go wrong with the Optima batteries. Best batteries made. I have about 4 of them.

YOU ARE CHAZY That is one of the SICKEST body kits made for an FD RX7, with the Headlight Conversion and all. I love that car everything except for that wing I dont know what they were thinkin with that thing. Although it does fit in with the theme of the car. I would have picked something else.

Those deep disk rims are Volk GT-C's
if the rears are 20"x10.5" the lip is 4.13"
if the rears are 19"x10.5" the lip is 4.6"

I know my Volks

The ones that are on the Mustang in the movie are Volk GT-7's

Depending on what size rim they used the lip can be as big as 4.92".

My Volk GT-7's on order just for NOPI Nationals Should be here in the next couple of weeks.

Went with 17" rims
1) To keep the weight down
2) Larger available tires for a 17inch rim car since it gets raced; tire contact patch was a priority over lip size
3) Larger tire side wall to protect the rime during the race and during daily driving.

Front 2" lip with a 235 tire
Rear 2.5" lip with a 275 tire

I ordered them over 6 months ago.
Long lead time due to the custom build/specifications.

munchie - To each their own. Obviously we have different tastes in RX7 kits. At least we both like sports cars, right?

Mugen - You can tell those are Volk's from that blurry pic? nice ! What weight are on the Volks you are getting? What brand tires? You talk a lot about racing. What kind? Autox, drag, ?? The volks sound nice with a staggered lip. Should be pretty sweet. 8" fronts and 9.5" rears ? (just guessing with those tire widths)

Auto X/GT W2W type racing.
No drag here but did do a 13.9 1/4mile when the car was brand new with traction issues on the start.

Not so much racing any more with the S but everything except the audio must still be function over looks.

just shy of 15lbs for the front and 18lbs for the rear before tires.

Tire will be TOYO T1R's

you are right on with the widths

Veilside

The wheels are made by Veilside, they just announced last week that they are making their wheels available in the U.S.

If that is true then Vside is copying the Volk style wheels.
Which does not surprise me.
