$2.99 Gas!!!!!!! Whoever thought we'd be excited about this....

It's nice to see gas prices going down during summer, it's not like the happens to often. I'd love to see it get down to $2.50ish but I'm not optimistic about it.

Wow. I saw it around $3.20 and thought it'd be nice if it ever went under $3.

Too bad I use 93.

^ bingo.
I remember back in highschool filling up my car with $.80 gas and it costing like $8 to fill my tank. That was only about 14-15 yrs ago. Crazy prices have gone up that much since.

I remember when it was about $1/gallon... and that was less than 10 years ago!

It's 3.11 on the corner of martin and zerdit. I've also seen a few jet pep's and kangroo's for like 3.08.

Last weekend when i was going through south pittsburg, tn i saw it for 2.99. The news claimed decatur had a station for 2.96.

I feel your pain on the 93 thing, but i'm glad the truck runs on 87.

On our way to Asheville this summer we passed up a cash only gas station that was pumping gas for 2.83 a gallon. NC was cheaper than MS, AL, and GA but SC had them all beat by far......at that one lonesome station.

$2.99 at the Raceway in Priceville
$3.01 at Murphy USA in Athens
$3.02 at the Wavaho in New Hope

Just check out the HCS homepage and scroll down for the cheapest area prices. It's right under the weather module.

i've been riding the FZ to work this week. cost me a whopping $9 this week. lower gas prices and 50 mpg are pretty awesome.

Yep. Not saying this is the reason, but I do feel that certain politicians can do certain things to make the economy look better at certain times.
Watch for skewed unemployment numbers to also come down soon.☻

10% ethanol included.

What's interesting is that if ethanol reduces your mileage and cheaper gas has more ethanol, then you're really paying the same amount as your cost per mile is about the same as a higher quality non-ethanol fuel that gives you better mileage.

Considering 99% of gas stations have ethanol you don't have much of a choice ( I think there might be 3-5 ethanol free stations in the Huntsville/Madison area)

However I do try and run ethanol free, luckily there are 2 stations right down the road from me that are ethanol free.

Yeah, the difference I've noticed is that most stations say 'up to 10%' while the super-cheap places say 'contains 10%'.

My parent's van I'm driving right now can use e85, so I want to try that. It's got a built in instant mpg display like my c5 vette, so I'd like to see how it's different.

From what I've noticed E85 hurts your gas mileage more around town then on the highway. I had a friend at work test it in his new Tahoe.
