This Week at Jireh Customs

One of our full custom builds is the 1955 Chevy Truck Chop Top. We have posted a little about it before, but I just wanted to show some of the recent progress. We have Several other projects going on right now as well and I will try to give updates on those as I can.

YEP! 4 in. on each side. We also took the stock (replacement) hood and dropped the nose on it about 1 1/2 in. The roof is chopped 6 in. in the front and 4 in. in the back. It has been "C" notched and bagged in the back. With that the wooden bed floor is being raised so that there is no hump. It will only be about 10 inches deep. There is so much custom fab work on this truck, it is going to be a show stopping, head turning, one off show truck!!

No, the owner bought the unfinished project and the bags were already installed. That is about the only thing on it that we haven't altered.

He and I spoke about that some months back. I am not sure what his plans are, but there has been WAY too much work done on that to let it sit and hide in a garage.

My grandfather has a 55 GMC C15 step side (I think that's what it is) that I would LOVE to re do eventually. That truck is going to look great! Good job!

I love me a '55 Chevy. Chopped roofs are always a good way to go Can't wait to see the end results! My grandmother got her dad's '57 Bel Air when he passed a loooong time ago and has been rusting away in a barn last I heard. IF she still has it, I'm seriously thinking about taking it off her hands when we get a house next year and have the room

Seriously. His love of the camera may be temporarily diverting his funds for the moment, lol.

And if you get your hands on it, you know where to take it.

That is what it is doing at the moment until I know what my immediate future holds. The amount of work done to the truck isn't half of what it needs lol. So much metal work and interior work that needs to be done still.

This is going to be a long moment, haha. I just don't see myself getting back into that truck. Too much "stuff" has happened within building it that it really never felt I should have been working on it at all.
