1.13.13 the C7 Corvette arrives

Since I'm a fan boy I figured I'd post this.

http://www.chevrolet.com/one13thirteen.html

I'm interested to see the car. I'm expecting less cubes with direct injection. Possible a more refined interior with possible more carbon fiber (or less weight in some for or fashion).

I really have no clue if they will do with the Grand Sport/Z06/ZR1. The rumor is the Z06 will drop out of the loop at least for the first year (as it did with the C6). With the increased production numbers of the Grand Sport they only made about 500 Z06's each year from 2010 on so I could honestly see them killing off the Z06 and making the Grand Sport a little faster.

From the pictures I've seen so far I really am NOT a big fan but I guess time will tell.

Excited about this! Longer wheel base should make it less likely to snap oversteer.
Side note: Those guys that take the clay and shape it into a car are AMAZING lol

Me and you both.

I can only imagine the awesome Craigslist ads we'll see in the future because of that.

I remember when the Lt1 guys used to argue until they were blue in the face that the Lt1 was superior to the LS1 when it debuted... because of simplicity to mod(at the time)...

looks like they were right all along, lol

So on my way back from Car's and Coffee this weekend I passed another C6Z with a Kentucky tag that said "IMAKEUM". We followed each other for a little bit and he pulled up next to me and said to stop at the next exit. So he gets out and noticed he has a polo on that say's Launch Team. So turns out he's on the development team for the new C7. I tired to ask him a few questions but his answer was it has 4 wheels and a motor.......lol. I got his contact info and plan to keep in touch. The one question he did answer though was he said he would be keeping his Z for a few more years..........so that leads me to believe that they won't be making a Z06 or ZR1 right out of the gate. But time will tell. None the less it was super cool.

I'm going to have to see one in person. I like the direction they are headed with the refined interior, direct injection, and the attention to detail on being lighter.

If you want a good laugh watch this. "Hitler finds out about the C7".

^Disclaimer: The video does have some bad language in the subtitles.

Eh, definitely need to see it in person. The rear is way too much Camaro, and the side is like a GTR. The interior is nice, aside from the mini tv in the gauge cluster area. What do yall think of this 7 speed?

It's interesting. I'm just curious if it'll be weaker then the T-56 and TR-6060.

I like the front and side profiles, but like most, not a fan of the rear. Also think they could have done a little better job on the front grill. IF I was going to buy a GM product, this would be it.

Ready to see this reviewed for real! I've watched so many videos on all the features of the tranny a lot of very small details in the engine and interior that are really impressive. I think it's a good step forward from the C6 just as it should be.

So apparently the trans is a TR6060 with an additional overdrive.

I really don't see the point in that but whatever. (the current cars already get near 30 mpg and only turn about 1500 rpms at 70)

As well as cylinder deactivation now so you run on 4 cylinders while cruising.
