What Do You Do For The Pollen?

So apparently it's that time of year again--I had to use the wipers on my parents van to clear off all the pollen from the windsheild.

So what do you do to prevent the pollen from sticking? Wax? Glaze? Clear bra? Plastidip?

Let er ride for the next month. Cleaning is futile if your car stays more than 30 minutes outside it'll be covered again. California dusters scratch your paint unless you are super particular about how you use them. Some waterless wash and correct towels are much better.

I've had pretty good luck using one but like he said you've got to be super OCD about how you use it and keep a really good coat of wax on the car.

If my car is sitting in my driveway, I just blow it off with my leaf blower. Obviously that is not practical when I'm not at home

There are two options that will work. Drive it because when it is moving the the pollen won't stick to it or the other option is to paint it yellow that way it matches.

Hmmmmm.... Just might be a good color to paint the Thames !!! Might go to paint store and ask for pollen yellow (Just kidding). My luck the paint would mess up my sinuses too.

Yellow does confuse the crap out of bee's. My yellow 350z used to be a magnate for them. I guess they are trying to pollinate it??

I agree. I use Adams Waterless Wash and a Great White Drying Towel. It takes a towel that big for me to get through my truck without reusing parts of the towel.

I never recommend dry wiping or using a California duster. You may not notice scratches now but you will eventually.

I'd never use a California car scratcher, especially with this amount of pollen. If your paint is well prepped, a good backpack leaf blower will at least get a large portion of it off between washes

I got one of these a few months back and really like it.

Wash the pollen off and then rinse the car off before putting it away. I saw they had it at the Decatur Walmart the other day - so there is some chance you can find it locally.

My allergies are so bad that at times I can put a netti pot up my nose and nothing will come out of the other end. Hardly a remedy for people like me.

Keep the car in the garage and don't drive it for a month.
