It funny to see how people always knock on the people for going show vs go. It seems like the go guys can never appreciate the show thing while the show people can appreciate go. Can't we all just get along?

It is way more expensive to go SHOW than it is to go RACE. I know cars that have 3000 dollars in them that run LOW 9's and High 8's, How many Show cars do you know that can put 3000 dollars in them and When compititions. 3000 dollars is Rims\Body kit\Paint if you go show. If you go race 3000 is a Tubo charged LS. But you are right you do live longer with a Show vehicle, But you can't Drive it everywhere like you can a Street\Race Car.

Either way--show or go--it does take money, time, and hard work. Depending on how high you want to reach, you will spend bucks. Cars that win in the Nopi show series have serious bucks in them, but so do cars that win the Nopi drag series. You almost always get what you pay for.

you can return a race car to stock fairly easy. You cant do that with a 'glassed sub enclosure/trunk set-up, TVs in the headrest, body-kitted car with M3 luevers. I know. everyone says they will keep their car forever, who actually does? I have done 2 that way! If i wanted to return the 'Ho to stock, i could knock it out in a weekend and you would NEVER KNOW. Stock motor, replace aftermarket suspension bits and clutch. DONE....

True, but your parts are a lot more bolt-on. If you had some custom turbo setup, nitrous, custom ecu, etc, it would be a lot more work to get it back to stock. Although maybe not as hard as swapping out a custom fiberglass dash for the stock one.

I retract my previous statement and I agree with Samir.

my saturn had a custom turbo kit on it, pretty tight suspension, etc etc. Trick is to KEEP YOUR STOCK PARTS.

The GP had a race tranny, custom tune, nitrous, headers, etc etc etc. I kept all my stock parts, took a week, but sold as stock.

Yep, you never know when those will come in handy. They're especially nice when you break or mess up a part you got and need to send it back for warranty repair.
