Regardless of the year of a car..... If its nice and people enjoy looking at it, then it can pull up to any show and receive its fair share of attention. The few times that I do enter shows each year is just because I enjoy the venue or the cause. I'm really not concerned about winning another trophy. That is my useless opinion.

I have been showing cars since the early 90's and have probably been to at least 500 of them - both local and national shows. At this point, I pick and choose what shows I go to - not because I care about winning trophies but because if I am going to spend a Saturday at a show, I pick the ones I think I will enjoy. Shows just don't appeal to me the way they once did - I now enjoy getting the cars out and driving them more than sitting at a show.

There are so many shows out there now and it seems every organization has decided to have a car show in order to raise money. That is great except many of those folks have no experience putting on a show or how to do classes or how to do judging ,etc.

Wasn't worried about it anyway - not sure why you think I would care if you went or not.

Everything changes with time. Back in the day when these same cars were 'hot rodded' they dropped in value.

I'm right there with out on the driving part.

And you're absolutely right--everyone has seen the financial impact a show can bring, but they don't fully understand the mechanics of it and just want the financial impact. Oh, and 99% of the time they want it for free.

Again, watch your tone. One more warning and you'll end up getting auto-banned.
