Brother I have been looking here at the Hospital, They have a few Plant Ops positions open if you are interested. THey start out at like 9-9.50 I think. I will talk to some people and see what I can come up with. I know that Will said that Topline had an opening a while back. All you would be doing is tires, I think. I will call him when I get off of work and find out. You should also get a job closer to home. Instead of having to drive 25 miles just to get there.lol

Plant Operations-They do all of the Maintnance on the Hospital, inluding:
Checking Fire Dampers
Checking Fire Walls\Doors
Changing out all of the Lights in the overhead consoles, hallways, rooms, etc...
any preventative maintnance needed
Welding\Fabing
ETC.................

That kinda stuff.lol They are basically one of the Strings that hold the Hospital together. Big Benifiting factor of the Hospital's Success. So they play a huge roll. All you have to do is go to www.HuntsvilleHospital.org and find the Job Listings, or just go down to The Plaza Resource Center, fill out an interest card and give it to the person behind the counter. It also helps if you know someone that already works there, and is a reputable person. That way they can contact the right people and get you the interview. That is what helped me. My father has worked at the Hospital for 20 years, He says that he did not do anything for me, but I know better.lol

Check out the Pharmacy Job, John Weeks works in that department. You went to school with him(big Samoan guy). adn check out the clinical tech job that is what I do. Also check out the Supply\Inventory Specialist, that is part of the department that I work for currently, I could talk to my boss and see if she will help you out. Multidisiplinary Tech is a good job too.

In this town it is very difficult to find good paying work outside of the engineering or related technical fields, especially without a degree. There's just too much supply and not enough demand. Without the Restone Arsenal and the government contracts, this area would just dry up. There's not really anything else here.

You know you're there only for the fringe benefits. Although 50% off on the go carts would be tempting...

Sometimes it really takes burning the candle at both ends to get where you want. It's hard now, but it will be worth it in the end.
