I always use Reid Auto Color. But keep in mind most paints now are "systems" and you should pick one that's comptible with topcoat.

I'd have to throw the bullshit flag on that. Primer's prime and primer isn't that smart. Ad long as it works with the top coat it doesn't care what it's laying on.

Paint is paint
manufactures design their paints to bond at the molectior level,

think of it as legos
the other building blocks that are out there will kind of fit
but not like a true Lego will

im not saying its a different kind of primer, im saying minitruckers spray trucks in primer sometimes to keep them that way forever..like im doing so I dont care if it works with a top coat or not and most will spray a sealer on there and will sand it off and spray a different primer before paint..so put that bullshit flag back where it belongs

When discussing passionately, please bear in mind section 5.e of the Terms of Service agreement for this web site.

This place is not like other forums, and will not tolerate levels of hostility that would be unacceptable in a face-to-face discussion. That is all. Carry on.

I can illaberate here. MiniTruckers, often spray thier trucks\cars in primer, cause lots of them are on a budget and like to shave stuff. So rather than shaving spots and having spots of primer they primer out the whole truck. Most of them like the way it looks so much that they leave it that way for a long long long time. Until one day if\when they ever get the money and have the truck\car ready for paint, they get it sprayed. Which intells "MiniTruck Primer". I personnally like the Flat\Matte Look I plan on doing my Hatch in a Black Matte, with Pinstipes. It might be that way before I know it.

That's what I wanted to know and you see you've educated a decrepit old muscle car owner something. Even though the 80's musclecar owners are the redheaded stepchild of the group.

Seriously I was wondering if you might be referring to something like this because of the low to the ground stuff

Would you? Would you say that in a discussion with a 12 year old? Because there are children of all ages that do visit this site.
